A learning management system

A learning management system comprises a server; a database, which is connected to the server, having a downloadable learning content and a first metadata of the downloadable learning contents that editing and/or adding of new downloadable learning content in the database prompt the server to update the first metadata; a client, storing at least a copy of the learning content and a corresponding second metadata, installed with an application operative to communicate with the server through a telecommunication network, synchronizing the learning content through acquiring new added and/or edited downloadable learning content from the database upon detecting differences in between the first and second metadata, wherein the edited downloadable learning content contains modified data, characterized in that the client synchronizes the stored learning content by changing parts of the learning content according to the modified data without replacing the entire learning content with the edited downloadable learning content.
