Abstract

This book is a collaborative project between the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering (DBAE), Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB). This collaborative effort brings forth a comprehensive compilation of research findings in the smart technology of oil palm plantation. The book is divided into three key sections, each dedicated to a different aspect of oil palm technology. Within each section, readers will find four to eight chapters addressing diverse aspects of smart technology, ranging from breeding and genetic advancements to planting methodologies, growth monitoring, quality evaluation, and yield estimation
