Abstract

Multiband portable sensor for the detection and classification of fruit maturity. Multiband portable sensor for the detection and classification of fruit ripening comprising: at least one illuminator; at least one photodetector comprising a microprocessor; a circuit board connected to the photodetector; an output preview assembly for displaying output; characterized in that the illuminator transmits a minimum of four light wavelengths at which light wavelengths are selected from the group comprising 405 nm, 51onm to 560nm, 620nm to 680nm, 71onm to 780nm and 84onm to 940nm, or any combination thereof; the photodetector has a minimum of two wavelength ranges from 300nm to 800nm and 8oonm to 1800nm; the microprocessor reads the photodetector voltage to classify the output; and a mask for eliminating external light source during the detection process.
