Abstract

The present invention relates to a volume compression limiter (100) characterized by comprising: an outer housing (101) having a pair of C-shaped structures connected together to form a cylinder, a plurality of partition walls (102) formed on parallel manner along the length of an inner surface of the pair of C-shaped structures with a space therebetween; an inner core (103) extending through the outer housing (101), wherein the plurality of partitions (102) surround the inner core (102), a plurality of hollow plates (104) attached to the inner core (102); 103) for spacing and supporting the inner core (102), a plurality of damping means (105) wound over the inner core (103) arranged in a manner such that the plurality of Damping means (105) is positioned between the plurality of partitions (102) and the plurality of hollow plates (104), and a connection means comprising a front connector (106) engaged with one end of the inner core (103), and an end connector (107) engaged with the other end of the inner core (103) for installing the volume compression limiter (100) to a structural joint.
