Abstract

The ever fast-changing technological advancements has naturally created ambiance of computing integration and has revolutionized huge volumes of video data management which require robust models for efficient edge computing-based environment. The paradigm shift introduced by edge computing in video data processing, with its real-time capabilities, is explored through an examination of various management models scoped to agriculture industry and its information, communication and technological environment setup. This study runs a systematic literature review synthesizing existing research, providing insights into evolving strategies, challenges, and advancements in edge-based video data management. This paper is important as it addresses the temporal challenge posed by rapidly advancing technologies in the field of agriculture. The conducted systematic literature review of video technology applications within the nature of agriculture workflow models, highlight and unveil avenues for future improvements and horizons to evolve the landscape of impactful technological applications in agricultural practices. The paper identified practical approaches reported officially for video technology implementation in the agriculture industry that able to provide opportunities for rapid enhancements. This paper also explains its contribution which is, by reducing the barrier for technology adoption and adaptation in the agriculture sector, the potential for the businesses and sector’s growth is massive.
