Abstract

Adolescent aggression is a complex phenomenon influenced by both environmental and individual factors. Although many prior studies have explored the relationship between adolescent aggression and peer attachment, a comprehensive synthesis of these studies is lacking. This review aims to fill this gap through a systematic analysis of the literature. A detailed search was conducted to identify relevant studies, which were then coded and categorized for analysis. Eighteen studies were included in the final review. The results indicated that adolescent aggression was significantly correlated with peer attachment and was mediated and moderated by other variables. Such as regulatory emotional self-efficacy, psychological suzhi, self-esteem and parent-peer attachment. This finding highlights the need for further future research into the role of peer attachment in shaping adolescent aggression. In particular, future research should explore the interactions between peer attachment and other influences to provide a more nuanced understanding of adolescent aggression. These insights could help develop more targeted interventions to reduce the incidence of adolescent aggression.
