For the parental,F2 and F3 populetion,grain yield varied from: 2.2g to 5.0g, 2.1g to 6.3g and 2.8g to 5.6g respectively. Their population mean are, 3.8g, 4.3g, and 4.7g respectively. Coefficient of variation over three populations is 60.0%. Variation for this character, largely due to environment.
