Abstract

Tumpuan skop kajian yang dikemukakan dalam tesis ini ialah profesionalisme dalam perhubungan awam. Objektif utama kajian ialah untuk mengenalpasti aras profesionalisme pengamal perhubungan awam sektor swasta di Malaysia (PPASS) . Hasil-hasil kajian yang telah dilakukan ke atas pengamal perhubungan awam di Malaysia, telah menjelaskan secara am beberapa aspek profesionalisme amalan perhubungan awam. Namun begitu, hasil-hasil kajian tersebut tidak dapat menjelaskan secara terkhusus aspek profesionalisme amalan perhubungan awam PPASS. Angkubah sandar kajian ialah arah profesionalisme PPASS. Angkubah bebas kajian pula berjumlah 22 dan dikumpulkan kepada empat bentuk pengukuran: (nominal - dua angkubah), (ordinal-empat angkubah), (sela - 14 angkubah), dan (nisbah - dua angkubah).
